The Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia strongly condemns the acts of terrorism against the brotherly Government and People of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which took place yesterday.
The terrorist have shown that they are truly against the teachings of Islam by attacking innocent civilians and soldiers in the blast that took place in the city of Abha, the provincial capital of Asir.

The Government and People of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are true brothers and friends of the People and Government of Somalia and we truly feel their pain and loss. We strongly support the solid efforts of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting terrorism both at home and abroad.

Terrorism is a global phenomenon that aims to destroy our peaceful way of life and poses a threat to the true understanding of our shared beautiful Islamic religion which teaches peace, respect and unity among all people regardless of their differences.

The Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia is working tirelessly to tackle the last pockets of terrorism at home and we seek to further strengthen our security cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to annihilate this evil from our lands.

The Government and People of the Federal Republic of Somalia pray for the continued success and prosperity of the brotherly Government and People of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
