Fierce war between Somali government troops with Ahlu Sunna Waljama ASWJ and Al shabaab fighters restarted in Garbaharey town in Gedo region in southern Somalia.



The fighting, which commenced after Al shabaab attacked government military bases in the town, is now continuing in parts of Garbaraharey, according to local residents.



Reports emanating from Gedo region say that the two warring sides are using both heavy and light weapons as crackling of machine gunfire and excessive artillery bombardments could be heard inside and outside of the town.



Garbaharey is very tense and the situation there could not be predicted right now, but remains to be seen if Al shabaab would be able to recapture it or not.



It is unknown the casualties of both warring sides so far.
