The Federal Indirect Elections Team (FIE) will investigate the process which led to the filling of seat 103 in Baidoa despite ordering a suspension.
FIET chairman Mohamed Hassan Irro told reporters in Baidoa the electoral body would probe into the matter which generated political debate amid accusations against State president Abdiasis Lafta Gareen for alleged interference in the process.
FEIT ordered the suspension of elections for the seat which was formerly held by Lower House speaker Mohamed Jawari but the South West elections body went ahead to conduct the elections.
The seat was filled by South Wes state public works minister Mohamed Ali Hassan.
FIET also suspended the victory of acting National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) director
Yasin Farey following a directive by the dispute resolutions team which said had received complaints over it.
The disputes committee is expected to issue its verdict late this week upon expiry of seven days since the suspension.
