One of Somali parliamentarians on Sunday accused SKA air and logistics, Dubai based company, of operating inside Somalia illegally.
Bisharo Abdi Garabay, Somali MP, has told Mareeg Media Network that some of Somali MPs from Parliament’s commission for air and ground transportations had paid a fleeting visit to Mogadishu’s Adan Adde international airport to observe how the work of the airport is going on.
Garabey said that many companies are now operating in the airport, but she declined to give further details about the companies’ names and which kind of services are doing inside Adan Adde airport.
She stressed all what they had seen in the airport would display before Somali transitional federal parliament (TFP), adding that Dubai’s SKA company didn’t heed parliament’s call to stop operating in Mogadishu’s Aadan Added airport.
Late last month, Shabelle has leant that SKA Air and Logistics has 10 year Mogadishu international airport management agreement with TFG.
“SKA Company is investing in the future growth and success of Mogadishu airport by implementing many changes; or improving those that are functional but require upgrading” David Thomkins, Logistics manager said.
