Interior Ministry said today that 51 Somalis, including 19 women and four children arrived at Rodoum coast, Shabwa, official media reported.
The Yemeni coastguards are continuing to find bodies on Yemeni coasts after dozens of migrants went missing, the same source said, blaming bad weather for incident.
Migrants from African horn countries, mainly Somalia and Ethiopia, continue to defy death crossing the dangerous sea into Yemen, with many reported drowned and missing when overcrowded boats sink or when smugglers force them to swim in deep water to Yemeni coast.
According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the inflow of African migrants into Yemen rose by 50 percent in 2009.
