Fadlan hana xadin (RBC) A presidential decree which dated March 28th 2012 has stated that the interim president of Somalia Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has fired the Minister of Agricultural, animal veterinary and Forestry Mohamed Mohamud Haji Ibrahim who was also the deputy prime minister, RBC Radio reports.

The decree which had the number 086 said “After having seen the article 44 of the transitional federal constitution and having consulted with the prime minister and also recognized the need for conducting the national service as honestly, trustfulness and transparency, the president of the transitional government of Somalia had issued that Mohamed Mohamud Haji Ibrahim was fired from his post as the Minister of Agricultural, animal veterinary and Forestry.”

The presidential decree only stated that the cause of sacking the minister was “irresponsibility and negligence of office” but local sources close to the prime minister’s office claim that there were growing allegations against the fired minister on the new born Khatumo state.

Contradicting letters in office
In March 5th Mr Ibrahim, former Somali diaspora from UK issued an official letter with his signature which suspended TFG’s support to Khatumo state but in contradictory again he wrote another letter which dated on March 10th and fully recognized Khatumo state.

Rumors on the ground say that the minister had been paid with bribes by unmentioned people to oppose the new Khatumo state which faces bigger hostility from its neighbors of Puntland and Somaliland.
